My Trip To Iron Bridge

On Tuesday, me and my family went to one of the best historical sites in the world, Iron Bridge.
If you don't live in the UK, you probably don't know what Iron Bridge is,well... Iron Bridge is a Bridge Made of, yes, iron! It was made in the late 1700's and started the industrial revolution, at the time, this bridge was the only bridge made of cast iron IN THE WORLD!

Now you know that Iron Bridge is, lets get started...

We stayed in a hotel overlooking the bridge called The Tontine.

tontine_ext.jpg
The Tontine
(You see the two windows on the top right hand
 corner, that was our room)
We stayed for two days, on the first day, we did not do much because we got there at 3pm. But on the second day we did something extra exciting!

On the second day we went to a place called Blists Hill, which is a Victorian Open Air museum. Blists hill is a replica Victorian town with real actors and shops where you can buy gifts, sweets and toys.

My favorite shop in the town was the clothing shop because it was full of bits and bobs to look at plus the clothes were beautifully handmade by the lady at the sewing machine.

I bought some stuff too! Expect to see a post about that soon...

But there was more than shops to buy stuff in!

There was a big factory where iron was smelted into other things like...metal stuff...

When I was walking back, I saw a beautiful Shire horse called George...

So cute!!  ^o^

...I slept well that night, knowing I had fun and learned so much

Hazardous Hair

There are many hazards for hair out there...

Split ends

Look closely at your strands of hair, are they split? If they are, you have split ends!

But don't worry, you can easily cut them off!

You may have them from over styling, brushing or hot tongs

Dandruff

Dandruff is a natural occurring thing so you can't change it, you will have to live with anti dandruff shampoo

Swimming

Chlorine in the pool is a bleach, it makes your hair dull and brittle. To stop this, rinse your hair before going to the pool

Looking after your hair is important if you want, nice, shiny hair, here are some unusual hair care methods to try!

The Egg

From Daily mail
Crack a whole egg over your head for conditioner, the egg white is good for oily hair and the yolk is good for dry hair, use what ever is needed for your hair

Using 1/2 a cup of honey can fix sun damaged hair, just leave in for 20 minutes and rinse with walm water afterwards

Why do we wear makeup?

Why girls wear makeup is a question i always ask my self so i'm going to tell you why I think girls wear makeup...

Reason 1.

Ok, lets admit it, girls wear makeup to impress guys and maybe girls too, but to be honest, in the morning when i put my makeup on, I want to impress myself

Reason 2.

Makeup is an art, it gives us girls a way of expressing our moods and what we like.

Reason 3.

Wearing makeup covers up our imperfections and what we are not proud of, it gives us the chance to be perfect.

Reason 4.

It is a way of being expressive, girls can change their makeup according to how they feel for example: if a girl is happy they would probably wear nice, light colours or if they wear a natural look, it could mean they are not bothered about anything today

How to make your own dry shampoo

DIY Dry Shampoo for Light Hair

What to do: Put the drops of essential oil into the arrowroot or cornstarch and mix with a spoon. Store the mix in a small jar or old powder container. Apply with an old make-up brush to the roots or oily parts of your hair. Applying with the brush is optional, but it removes the need to comb through as much and is better for styled hair. If you don’t use the brush, comb the powder through your hair and style as usual.

DIY Dry Shampoo for Dark Hair

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons arrowroot or corn starch
  • 5 drops of essential oils (optional)
  • An old makeup brush to apply (optional)
What to do: Mix the cocoa powder, arrowroot/cornstarch and essential oils (if using). Store in a small jar or old powder container and apply with the make-up brush. Comb through hair and style as usual.
